In the Bible we are called to "Put on Christ" as if he were a garment or piece of clothing. Interesting Right?! Turns out this language is all over the Bible, but what does it mean? In our next Sermon Series, we explore this beautiful language of God that we may not be familiar with.

About the event
In Colossians 3, the Apostle Paul says this, "You have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator...Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."
Turns out this language of clothing, putting on good things, takin off/removing bad things is all over the Bible. Elsewhere in Paul's letters he says we must "Put on Christ", interesting right? In our next sermon series we are going to explore the language of meaning of what it means to be clothed in God, to wear God…
