About the event
The Missions team has reserved a week for volunteers to work at the UMCOR Sager Brown location in Baldwin, Louisiana from Sep. 21-26. UMCOR is the Methodist center for sending aid to people all over the world who have been the victims of disasters. There is a small warehouse in Kerrville, that is the local storage for some of these kits, but the depot for the southern states is in Baldwin. We will leave from here on Sunday, Sep. 21, and return on Friday afternoon. While there, we will be working at the depot to double check any of several different kits that are sent to them to be sure they are accurate. There will also be other opportunities to assist with home repairs in the local community. They have dormitories to stay in and three good meals a day are provided.
